We as Hungarians really like the bread, we are capable to eat almost everything with bread, for breakfast, for lunch and for dinner as well. That's why we have many type of breads form white and whole-meal flour with seeds. Sometimes they add to the dough potato, onion or special herbals. The bread is made from yeast or from sour-dough.

I would say there are 3 types of bakeries in Budapest. The cheapest, they are Albanian bakeries. The middle level is the traditional Hungarian bakeries like Lipóti Pékség, PrímaPék. In the middle level there are the all of the supermarkets's offers (Manna, ABC Lidl, Aldi, Spar, Interspar). I think the quality the quite same like in Lipóti or PrímaPék. The highest level where the prices are also extremely high as well, in the artisan bakeries.
I could say if you would like to spare your money you can buy regularly in the supermarkets however you should make a try sometimes with the artisan bakeries.

Here the bakery products are bigger and the prices are cheaper compared with others. However in the Albanian bakeries everything has bigger size than the normal. The taste is quite good but not everywhere to be honest. The city is full of these Albanian bakeries.

They are very famous here, especially after the sourdough days when everything closed down and almost everyone started baking at home. After the closure, everything opened up and people no longer had free time to bake. That's why most artisan bakeries started after the Covid. People wanted to eat good quality cakes and pastries.
